A Grade - 14/1/12 - 20/20 Games

The Good News is there is no bad news this week.

2 wins from 2 games has been a rarity all season but we did that last weekend. First victim were the RSL who were uncharacteristically 'cocky' and expecting to put us over their knees and give us a good spanking. Especially after the big win last time we played them. It is funny how many of people have forgotten M...emo Roverscc Alice Springsis won the past 4 premierships(read that again if you like... yes 4 premierships). We batted first losing Doug McClure early and Lowie (17) and Adrian McAdam (32) putting on 40 runs. David Woodbury (20) also batted and we set the Rissle 107. And then proceeded to tear them apart dismissing them for 55 runs. Daniel Clarke, Woodie, Adrian, Lowie and Harry Weeks were brilliant.

The boys were pumped and following this we set our sights on the mid season premiers and best team in this known galaxy. Somehow after getting pumped the way they did last year you would think they wouldnt underestimate us. Anyhoooo... we batted first and for once Macca didnt need to hold us up. Doug (68) and Lowie (22) batted well and we set the Australia A side 150 runs to win. All looked good early with Woodie (4-13), Daniel, Lowie (1-15) Macca and Weeksy (2-31) bowling well. But we were tested when the greatest cricketer Alice Springs has seen started belting us all over the park. Enter Charlie Dick (1-12) once again rescuing Rovers A Grade side with his bowling. The ball swung, cut, spun and got the edge of TC and the game was over. Well done fellas. Great to have the likes of Adam Fisher, Lochie McDonald and Jayden Harman (Fevolicious) out on the ground.

We are still long shots at making the finals but ya never know.
